About The Artwork
From the heart of a red dark-colored background the painting of two figures that trying to liberate from one another. Fetters (from their lives memories perhaps) stick the figures together. Like a rope pulling it both in opposite directions. The effort is anxious and obvious. Figures could be real or imagined. But the idea is the liberation from the prison of the mind. The torture is hell. Painting is in a dialog with a marble sculpture of the two figures. The intention is for both painting and sculpture to be together in a room as an installation in a silent dialogue. Canvas is not on stretchers.
