"Red Riomaggiore” is a coastline painting inspired by my travels in Riomaggiore, Italy. The cactus in the foreground invites the viewer into the frame. Colorful buildings draw the eye up the mountain toward the high horizon line. One cannot deny the refreshing cool blues in the pool of seawater below, further inviting the viewer to enter into the image.
