Since I was born my father has a weekend house in the Delta del Tigre, a few kilometers from the city of Buenos Aires where I live. One of the few deltas in the world, it forms at the mouth of the great rivers Uruguay and Paraná to end up forming the Rio de la Plata, it is common in these deltas that the water raises its level to cover almost all the land and then retire in a natural cycle. The canes are a plant that grows on a soil that has to be at a certain height, does not tolerate growing in the water directly, nor can it grow on a high ground but always very close to the water in large quantities, it grows on the upper shore of the average of the floods and downspouts of the river. It is a strong plant, hard, leafy almost a plague and at the same time very delicate with its needs, if these needs are not met, even if they are 20 cm away from it, it prefers to stay where it is and not move forward. In the tidal cycle of the river, the soil in which the cane grows is invaded by water, in brief moments, of no more than five to seven days a year. It is in those days when these two worlds intersect, the rigid volumes of the cane coexist with the liquidity of the volume of the water, from those coexistence the light is transformed and in turn it transforms the volume again. Images that dazzle me since I was a child intuitively, in a natural way, as an extension of my memories as part of one, as part of my body, of my mind and my feeling, looking without thinking, just looking at the diversity of lights, movements, the invaluable without thinking, as a result of the marriage between the canes and the water. The image is constructed by caps of multiple colors, all chosen like in all my works on the basis of his(her, your) temperature of color, this is demonstrated spending(passing) the image to scale of gray there being revealed the volume of the objects for that I look.
