ABOUT THE ARTWORK

We went for a walk at the Albany Bulb which is a landfill that people go for walks here in the East Bay of San Francisco, California. Nicho usually makes photographs but he was still healing from a broken wrist so I took this photo. It was a cooler gray day and I spotted this little hummingbird sitting quietly on the top of the brush. It's almost too perfect for me but I painted it twice, once on top of an old drawing (this one) and one on a large canvas. I don't care if it is too perfect. It doesn't have to be a question mark each time, though that's what makes me feel the most satisfied.
