About The Artwork
Rocks - 'Quartz ' A Diptych is an extension of Rocks and the latest addition to my Quartz series. Its a big piece spread on two canvases to go in any interior and will give a very specious feeling once on the wall. It has been created in keeping a pure abstract style in mind.The result was achieved by effectively visualising and then creating the large and small layers of rocks with the help of different colours, hues and textures. I used a spotting brush to achieve an extra degree of complexity and texture, in effect its an Abstract Realistic style.The canyon-like look of the rocks has a beauty in its ruggedness. It is always fun to work with acrylic paints. The final coat of varnish is given to protect the work's freshness and preserve it for a long time.
