Rolling Sea Waves Painting

This incredible, impressionistic acrylic painting features an amazing sea scene. This textured painting is on a circular canvas. This artwork depicts a rolling sea wave, the barrel is a bright yellow, there is diffraction from the central smaller rocks. Foamy whitewater waves break against the larger rock on the left hand side of the canvas. In the background there are capillary waves and corduroy swell lines, with a touch of foam created by the breeze. The waves are shades of Prussian blue, mauve purple and lemon yellow sprinkled with splashes of white and yellow foam. The sky is a powerful mixture of violet and plum purple, titanium white and cornflower blue. This painting was created using the wet on wet technique, the rocks were formed with a palette knife and are layered in vandyke brown, maroon and yellow ochre.
