I carried this painting in my imagination for a while. Somehow invisioned the russian samovar in the snow and then little by little it came out. I used bold palette knife strokes to create movement and movement. The painting will be ready to ship in February. It is still wet.

I was raised in the cold climate of Leningrad, in the former Soviet Union, and still enjoy the cold climate and lots of snow... My family and I immigrated to the USA 32 years ago as Jewish refugees. Consequently, I despise Putin and his attack on Ukraine. I recently raised $1500 by selling my paintings and am donating 90% to Ukraine. So grateful to everyone who supported the cause. I have been painting since I was a child thanks to my dear childhood friend who started teaching me about painting and drawing while going to an art college himself. These days I am inspired by cities, rain, cobblestones, and snow... Thank you for stopping by and please ask me any questions about my work, processes, or inspirations, and I will respond promptly.
