About The Artwork

In my new series, SAILING FORWARD, I explore the metaphorical world of the ocean to create a body of work that is both inspiring and thought-provoking. By using nautical themes and maritime culture, these round paintings represent portholes with vessels sailing towards the horizon, depicting the journey of moving forward in life. After years of experimentation, I've perfected a technique that creates an interactive "lenticular" effect by manipulating paint to give depth and movement from different angles. My aim is for the viewer to engage with the painting, discovering hidden objects and be stimulated by the space between nature and abstract elements. This unique painting comes in serene and harmonious tones of blue, gold, silver, grey, white, and cream with a resin top coat for a shinny 3D effect. Painted on a wood round, it comes unframed with the edges painted in black for a clean contemporary look that is ready to hang.
