Continuing this series of single-figure compositions with a standing yoga pose - a tree or vrksasana pose. Like the figure itself, I enjoy the solidity of these poses, and although precarious, they offer much needed stability in an otherwise chaotic environment. As usual, the figure is made up of the same stuff as it's environment. It's only through its effect on its background that we see it at all. This painting is on a hollow wooden door. It can rest on the floor and prop against a wall, or hang using attached heavy wire hanger on the back.
