Elena Svobodina, Member of the Russian Union of Artists , was born in Vladivostok, where Russia borders with China. She successfully integrates her Western expressionist manner in form with Asian harmony in color. The two institutions she graduated from, contributed to this duality - formal and academic realism school of Moscow Art Academy and very creative and energetic British Higher School of Art and Design Elena is a regular winner of Russian National Art Contests in Moscow, St-Petersburg, and often is invited to represent Russia's Young Contemporary Artists overseas. Her works received high recognition at Art Exhibitions in Latvia and Portugal.
