Painting: Oil on Wood and Canvas.
Although lacking anatomical features like eyes, ears or a nose, the shape depicted is undoubtedly a human form. The loose elements seem to gravitate around a center of gravity creating the image of a man but it's unclear whether the motion is explosive or implosive in nature. The flow of the brush strokes and the posture of the unknown character is clearly resembling past depictions common in baroque painting. This is however just a pretext for using known imagery to convey a rather disturbing visual message.
