Aberlady Bay – Inspiration is taken from the remains of eight fishing boats, dating to the late 19th or early 20th-century, lie on the foreshore near Kilspindie, Aberlady Bay, East Lothian. I hope the viewers would love the colours and light in the painting and the historic element of the scuttled ships in the foreground ...giving an abstract emotive feeling to the painting . I chose the abstract colourist style as a response to subject historic subject and also the light whilst I was painting sitting in the mud flats of Aberlady bay , "plein air"
