Ships in a Crate
A satirical commentary on the economic crisis of 2008, social strata, apocalyptic nuclear military fear, the stereotype of the yuppie involved in esoteric traditions, the image is made up of 7 buildings representative of modern and contemporary architecture (the Chrysler tower, The dancing dragons of Shanghai, a tower of Hong Kong, the tallest tower in Dubai ...) Five fighter jets, a helicopter gunship and a military cargo plane At the feet of the clerk, the emblems of the firms Lehman Brothers, Goldman Sacks, famous for being accused among others of having great responsibility in the financial crisis of the last 15 years. Following these images the explosion of a nuclear bomb. Seven people of different socio-cultural iconicity contemplate the scene I was also inspired to make this painting the films: Cosmopolis (Don DeLillo) by David Cronenberg and American Psycho from the novel by Bret Easton Ellis
