About The Artwork

According to my previous practise while preparing the canvas i saw the picture of the separation of a woman and a sad wolf dog. I never lose a chance to shape something that i see so strong and clear. The choice of colours was also decided instantly sybolically. The phrase "Θα χάσεις πολλά", you will count many losses" is written, repeatedly, on the half top of the painting, in Greek, English, Italian and French. What we actually whitness as a moment in the painting is the time of understanding that you lose something somebody, and already kicks in the feeling of an empty space existing inside you. I am not talking only about love or losing something of great value, i am focused on the moment time becomes real in a way that you measure it according to the time you will find the person or thing you lost. I am talking about mind related projections and the way existance transforms in our mind to something concrete even if it doesn't exist anymore. A simple truth, that we will count many losses, meets our dearest present time and the question, what are we goimg to do with it?

I consider art as a malfunction of the brain, a moment where you are aware, disoriented from your feelings space and time...everything looks the other way, doing what was supposed to and you stand there all alone, far away...away from your self customed cage. Art happens when you gaze at the view out of your thoughts and feelings that the bars of the cage blur and gradually melt under the blinding light of freedom.
