About The Artwork
This is again inspired from the sculptures of Elephanta caves, Mumbai. this is the love saga of Shiva and his consort Parvati whom we consider as the father and mother of Hindu religion. Their pictures at home make it peaceful and divine and auspicious too. This is watercolor on paper and highlighted with graphite pen and earth tone pencil. If you check Wikipedia you will find that these sculptures are almost 500 years old and they are now in a dilapidated condition. So I have tried to replicate what exactly it is now like their broken limbs and broken walls etc. Hope you like this. Thanks.
