This piece is only available through my site . Payment plans still available. I completed this piece after an influential trip to Mexico City in May of 2016 where I visited the former house of Frida Kahlo and Diego Rivera, discovered natural pigments (ex: cochinea bugs used for bright magenta), and realized the importance of the Latin American culture in my identity, and consequently my art. After this trip, I returned to San Francisco energized and with determination to stay the course despite difficulties. Looking back at my journal entries from this time, there were three key quotes that are reflective of my mindset then: -"The one thing that you have that nobody else has is you. Your voice, your mind, your story, your vision. So write, and draw, and build, and play, and dance, and live, as only you can." by Neil Gailman -"Nothing splendid has ever been achieved except by those who dared to believe that something inside of them is superior to circumstance." by Bruce Barton -"Get your head off the price, focus on the prize." by me The painting includes hanging hardware, and is hand-signed on the back. It is a unique piece - no prints are available. About the Siamese series: Three years in the making, the Siamese series was inspired by the strong, yet flowing nature of Siamese fighting fish. I created this body of work with the goal of making it the transition from a full-time job working with technology startups in Silicon Valley to one where art, my calling, would take the center stage. Therefore, the whole series evolved in parallel to the mental and emotional journey of pursuing a goal regardless of obstacles and difficulty. The colorful brushstrokes are meant to convey the vivacious and flowing nature of Siamese fighting fish; and, the meticulous metal patchwork is meant to resemble thousands of scales, but most importantly, the armor and strength of a warrior. 10% of the net proceeds of my art are invested in nonprofits that support economic development, and mental health.

I was born in Tegucigalpa, Honduras in 1989 but spent my entire life moving throughout Latin America and the United States. As such, the process of navigating assimilation in changing environments has remained a constant in my life and is at the root of my research. I began my creative explorations at the age of five though ballet and modern dance; however, over the past nine years I have primarily focused on painting. Through my grand, vibrant, and layered paintings I explore my personal narrative as it relates to immigration, self-identity, and the human experience of moving through space and time. I currently live and work in New York City.
