Flamenco lyrics, emerging mostly but not always from popular sources, are full of stunningly powerful visual images."Soleá" is arguably one of the most important "palos"(palo o cante is the name given in flamenco to each different musical form), one usually with serious, solemn and deep lyrics. The one chosen here is from "Andaluz de paso lento", soleá sung by El Cabrero. Ni quien me haga entrar a mí por vereítas estrechas siendo tan ancho el carril (No one can make me walk / down these narrow sidewalks / being the lane so wide)
