Sisters, Essence [Siostry, Esencje] acrylics on board, 2020 1. 50x90cm, 2. 42x100cm 3. 48x100cm Sisters It is a story about women. About what is common and about what is different. About uniqueness and cyclicality. About the beauty and light that radiates from them. About elusiveness and delicacy. About strength in gentleness. An overheard sentence somewhere that no one wonders if the rose suffers when it blooms inspired me to create stories about female empowerments and transformations that lead them to awareness and fullness. They can be painful and incomprehensible for them when they bloom to their essence, often deprived of the support of the female lineage. The flower used to be a symbol of female beauty, but too often it is understood purely physically, and women have tortured their bodies for centuries to conform to the prevailing standards. In art, the image of a woman has come a long way, from the object of worship as an image of fertility and abundance, representations of ancient divinity, through various forms of idealization to contemporary distortion and abuse. In my paintings I try to revive him. I am not talking about physical beauty, and yet I want the corporeality in these paintings to be very present, tangible, fleshy, sensual, and at the same time symbolic. I want to talk about the beauty of female fullness, which eludes canons. Through carnality, touch deeply hidden taboos, tame them, show naturalness, restore dignity through my own bowing and appreciating the female temple. I am laying down my symbolic flowers on her altar. It is a story about a goddess, about her birth, life, body and everyday life. I dissuade her in myself through my intimate meeting with her. There are truly alchemical processes in the woman, thanks to which the future is created out of substances and processes in her body. The womb becomes a place where the soul descends, a unique apartment where it spends its first moments. She recognizes emotions by feeling the world through a woman's body and its emotionality. There he learns the world in which he will live. The thoughts and beliefs of a woman who hosts a new being in her body shape a new life in her image, thus creating a future. The female womb is a portal, a gateway to this dimension. It is the most important place of power in our world.
