About The Artwork
The picture is made with oil paints on canvas. I depicted a skull lying on a book in the genre of vanitas and still life. I thought about the eternity and transience of everything. As the Bible says: "I saw all the things that are done under the sun, and now, everything - vanity and languor of the spirit." The skull, most likely a dog, which I captured, I found on the banks of the Volga River in my hometown of Samara.

Born on 12.29.1985 in the city of Kuibyshev (from 1991, the city of Samara), where he currently resides. In 2008 he graduated from Samara State Pedagogical University, Department of fine and decorative art, Specialty Fine Art. Since 2005, he participated in various local, regional, inter-regional exhibition projects. Works are in private collections in Russia, USA, Great Britain.
