About The Artwork

Perhaps my life is only a dream, That's warmed by the bright light. The moment will come when I'll wake up, And tell you about it! We all are the children of the Stars, Created by them and beyond. We also are the warmest light that lives in each of us. The moment will come we all will wake up, We all fulfill our dreams. Because we all are people of the Stars, who can emanate their wills. Some paintings came to me in my dreams. All I had to do was just to transfer these mystical images of my inner world to the canvas. I like to share it with people, to interact with them through my paintings. One of these paintings has the title "Sleeping under the Sun". People are connected by invisible threads, thoughts, feelings, especially close people. We all are connected not only between each other but also by what affects us. We are people of the Earth, the Sun, the Moon, and of the Univers. Other forces that sometimes are beyond our control have also affected us. Everything is interconnected. In my painting, people are connected by golden light with the Sun and each other. And wherever they are, these invisible ties are not going to be broken. The people of the Sun sleep, warmed by the stars. But they're about to wake up and tell us about their dreams. The painting you can be hung as a square or a rhombus. The painting haven't the framing. The painting "Sleeping in the sun" won the first prize in the exhibition "Art-poetry" the. Moscow., 2017

Yulia Belasla was born in 1987 in the city of Barnaul, Altaiskiy Kray, Russia. When she was still a baby her parents moved to the city of Kemerovo, in Siberia, where she had grown up. Since 2017 she has been living in Moscow, Russia. Since her childhood, Yulia was attracted to painting. Private lessons, various courses, and art school only warmed up her interest. Finally, Yulia Belasla has graduated from the Kemerovo State University of Culture and Arts, as a graphic designer. She had studied there both classical painting and drawing, as well as the form’s stylization. 2013-2017 she had a frame shop where she worked as a decorative artist in Kemerovo, offered picture frames and a passionate taught of adults and children to painting. In 2017 she closed her a frame shop. Today, her time is entirely dedicated to producing art and she gives art master classes. Artist’s Statement In my practice, I work with painting, exploring themes: love, human relationships, Slavic traditions and information technology. I work in traditional media, using oil, acrylic, watercolor, and golden potali. The inner volume of the paintings is achieved only on the contrast of cold and warm color palettes. Otherwise, I avoid feeling the depth of space, turning the composition to ornamental correspondence or icon painting practice. The symbolic structure of the structure of objects and characters and the addition of decorative elements to the space: a reference to ancient cultural codes and sign systems. The two main genres of my works are subject painting and portraits. I combine mythology, legends and assemble them into an anthropomorphic image. It is read through signs sewn into the perceptions of each person. In my opinion, emotions are the brightest color of the universe, a universal language understandable to everyone. I've always been interested in how people are emotionally connected to each other. The interaction of these connections forms my approach to developing themes within paintings.
