Slow Motion Painting

I typically approach the canvas and make some arbitrary marks then the story follows. I aim to create from the imagination completely without ever using references. This allows me to act as a conduit for channeling the endless beauty of the universe. As we gather a greater understanding of the world within and around us, that same world forever grows larger in time and space. By communicating across space and time, movements are recorded and encoded onto the surface with thoughts and emotion, staying trapped, yet emerging timeless. This process is captured onto canvas with paint as the medium. Electrical engineer by schooling. Painting allows me to free myself of the rigid constraints of engineering. Most of my work is freely painted usually over several days or months without reference or specific ideas in mind.
