About The Artwork
The is a painting of the legs of a sex worker activist that lives in the city where I do. Her work has helped me and many others navigate sex industries and civil rights. She also talks about her body dysmorphia, which I also have, and is the reason she is covered in tattoos. As a stripper, I have yet to work at a strip club that allows you to forgo the standard six inch heels for flat shoes. While heels are sexy you can move and dance better in sneakers and have more fun/ less chance of hurting yourself.

Using pure pigment, and various types of oils to make her own paint, as well as constructing each canvas from thrifted materials. She Who Shits Sunshine creates satirical “fine art” that is both femiminie and decorative. These glittery, excessive, and campy paintings are also black light reactive, emitting light from the dark as a result.
