Soda Pop Painting

Childhood dolls, Sunshine, Carnivals and Fashion Magazines inspired this work. Clown-like figures seem to come through in my work although it isn't intentional.The paintings are me modeling clothes designed by a NYC fashion designer, Hi Hairy. I hope viewers will feel cheery, colorful and chic when looking at this painting. It is meant to be fun. It was fun to make it. The viewers might get a sense of an expressionistic fashion doll when looking at this painting. I chose the mediums because I love to take photographs and mix them with paintings. I love to paint. I love to paint with vibrant cheery colors. It lifts my mood. I chose the subject matter which is myself because it is easy to take images of myself considering that I also am a model. I enjoy the creativity that comes with fashion design and try to meet as many new designers per year as possible. Hi Hairy's designs were especially unique. The style, expressionism is right for me as a painter because I like to paint fast and out of emotions or reactions to the music I listen to.
