About The Artwork
Watercolour month in July and while pursuing a different medium I created this piece with Watercolour and pigments. The picture itself was intuitively completed but upon completing it felt inherently South African. It reminded me of our current landscape and political landscape that we are currently facing. Cape Town has an incredible variety of fynbosmixed with indigenous flowers that speak to our diverse climate. It reminds me of our current political situation beautiful highlights among the desert and prayer for hope to arise among the ashes of a beautiful dream. The larger prints for this piece will need to be communicated.
