About The Artwork

Inspired by the beautiful sunrises and sunsets here in St. Petersburg Florida, I created the background for this conceptual piece. After completing the sky, I wondered if there was a QR code for God. I liked the line of questions: Did God make the sky? is God the sky? Where does God live? Where do people think God lives? Weaving the new technology of QR codes (albeit, hand painted) and the realm of planet earth, this small painting is the conversation piece your space needs. Signed on the back, ready to hang. Depth is closer to 1 7/8"

I’m a contemporary abstract painter who recently relocated to St. Petersburg FL from Los Angeles, CA. I began my art career as a scenic artist and decorative painter in Los Angeles where I painted sets for TV and film and also the homes of many well-known (and not well-known) folks. I did this work for 20+ years and then I got to a point where I didn’t want to be climbing ladders or scaffolding anymore. I made a clear decision to focus on my fine art. In a cool twist, my work is now featured on the sets of TV shows. I show at Artspace Warehouse in Los Angeles and have hundreds of images licensed for the home decor and hospitality industries. A lot of my abstract paintings have ended up in Florida hotels so when my gypsy soul was longing for another adventure, I decided to move cross country and see if I could make a go of it in this part of the US. What I love about St Pete is that it feels like a mix of a few places I’ve lived before. It has the tropical lifestyle I loved in Hawaii, the breweries I loved in Portland and an art scene that feels fresh and well integrated into the community like Los Angeles. And the murals here, whoa. I'm excited to see how my work will change from the new color story and vibes here. Hurricanes, sunsets, tropical foliage are here to inspire!
