I've featured this spotted dog in several pieces. It's handsome and kind of classy. Hence the golf course- seems reasonable that this dog might find it's way to a golf course. Anyway I've wanted to paint something on a golf course for some time- I love the deep greens, the lush colours and wide open spaces of the fairway. Not that I'm much of a golfer mind you.

While my painting is typically representational – some pieces move into abstraction. I usually pursue a particular theme for several years running or until the question/investigation has run its course. Currently I'm focused on dogs and fish. My background in sculpture informs the way I think about constructing or building a painting- placing figures together in postures of my choosing.
