Born in Moscow in 1983, Julia Smol is an artist whose place in the art world was established early on through her extraordinary talent. Her professional journey gained significant momentum in 1997 when, at the age of just fourteen, she participated in an exhibition at the State Tretyakov Gallery—one of the world’s most prestigious art institutions. Having completed her education at some of the world’s most historic institutions, Smol acquired her foundational discipline at the Moscow Academic Art Lycee (1995–2002). She subsequently earned her Master of Fine Arts from the V.I. Surikov Moscow State Academic Art Institute in 2009.
