About The Artwork
This is one of the first paintings I did in the height of the 2020 quarantine in April 2020. Florida is of course so flat, so many landscapes are divided by walls. Not always a bad thing, but sometimes it can be. In this case the light is to the west and the Gulf of Mexico just on the far side, shining the afternoon light on the building. Many people ask me about the colors in the foreground. They could be a garden or maybe figures. This painting reminds me of a time in St. Pete and all the energy and light there. It's a colorful city for sure!
