About The Artwork
This is one of the paintings in a series I've done called "Along the Mother Road". The Mother Road is Historic Route 66 which travels from Los Angeles, CA to Chicago, IL. I was born in Chicago and I now live in New Mexico right on Route 66, so I thought it would be great to pay homage to this wonderful route. This painting depicts a diner that exists on Central Avenue (Route 66) in Albuquerque. Since I painted the scene, it is under new ownership which gave it a different name, but the atmosphere of the diner is still the same
