About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by the Hubble space telescope, the vastness of space, and the ongoing attempt by astronomers to delineate its regions. Van Gogh’s starry night has always been an inspiration to many of my paintings. My hope is that viewer will share my fascination with such a complex subject and my whimsical approach in trying to paint it. I chose to use acrylics because they are so flexible from drawing clean lines to pouring and staining. I have been painting and sculpting outer space subjects for years.
