About The Artwork
This painting was inspired by mid-century modern lighted signage. I enjoyed the lines, angles, graphic nature of the sign, and the weathered look. The actual sign was demolished some time ago. Various watercolor techniques were used to build up the textured surfaces and reflectiveness in the light bulbs.
