This is the 3rd and final in a series of paintings I have chosen to call “Starving Artist.” It is both objective and subjective. On one hand I am calling out, so to speak, all the starving artists in the world who are not making a living off their art, and, on the other, a more generalized terminology in the phrase “starving artist” and what that means to anyone in an objective way. Aren’t we all starving if we haven’t met with acceptance? Or sales of our art?
