Sometimes staying home is the best option. When one appreciates the deep intricacies of one's own moment and place, there's no need to get away. After all, a vacation is an absurd post-Columbian social norm only meant to reify the colonial boundaries of our prison planet. Listen to Marx. Let your labor define you. Until space is the place, you've really got to stay in the rat race. It's better than you think it is. Resist any inkling to get out there and explore. Don't go there. Hungry giants hide their knees in radioactive cumulonimbi on the horizon. Pray they rest elsewhere. Depicted in this painting here is a cautionary primordial fleshplanet of terror and pleasure. Predator is prey and prey is predator and so on. Eat. Pray. Purge. Will the prehistoric mutant rabbits evolve out of their cannibalscape? Will the world stop its drunken cartwheeling through time and space? For how many millions of years will this planet go on putting on the dumbest party tricks such as doing headstands while defecating molten gold all over itself? Moist lickly never. Forget vacationing on this quote unquote paradise, will ya? Best to just stay home, maintain that symbiotic exchange you've got going with your houseplants. Savor your hot cuppas. And, unfollow all those gross vacay-instas that leave you feeling so hollow--hollow and dark--like an abandoned warren. The 48 x 30 inch painting is on canvas. It's composed of acrylic, gold-like leaf, and ash from some copal incense that I offered to Kali whilst making it.
