About The Artwork

Each piece of work represents an update of our history, of our experience. All experiences accumulate with time create our personality, an Update in our life. Human change is an update Series. The landscape is now deconstructed and closes to abstraction with unconscious allusions to the painter Hopper as a filter, I continue my research on the Impression. A threatened nature leads to the construction of cities where people experience loneliness, voluntary or not. In this painting, the endangered nature is disappearing under glass and concrete. The forms are deconstructed under the diffraction of light through the rain. The last Waterlilies are floating, a nod to my Waterlilies series. The city is dissolving in the air but the tree is shining! Acrylic on canvas. The sides are also painted. Varnished matt, including UV protection. Ready to hang.

I was born in France. After graduating from Ecole du Louvre in Paris where I received a classical education in History of art and the inspiration for my future work, I worked in the museum section. From self-taught artistic training I exhibited my silver process photographs on the theme of reflection of nature in water according to the size of the aperture, effect of light and wind. I picked up the brushes once again in 2013 for my project:" the Nympheas and Japanese Screens" and exhibited in Germany where I live and work. I don't paint what is visible, I recompose an image according to what reality makes me feel. I dig up a memory or a photo, and I work with several layers of glazes of pure pigments blended with a combination of mediums. As the image is rebuilt, the lines are transformed into symbols and leave only an impression. My painting represents an instant of my present life connected to the past.
