Παράξενα όνειρα είδα σήμερα. Πάλι μέσα από το γνωστό παράθυρο καθόμουν, "διαβάζοντας" τα δομικά υλικά της οικοδομής απέναντι και της απελπισίας μου από πίσω της, ως σύγχρονος μάντης, φοβούμενος να μασήσω δαφνόφυλλα μην και πω παράνομες αλήθειες και να ρίξω κόκκαλα για ζάρια, μην και κρατώ μαχαίρι και μπω σε πειρασμό και το μπήξω σε δικαίους, αδίκους, η στον υπο-κριτή εαυτό μου. Αναρωτιόμουν, αν θα πρέπει να μετρήσω Χριστούγεννα, Απόκριες, ή Επιτάφιους, για να κάνω τον εγκλεισμό, αυτοεναγκαλισμό. Είπα πως δεν πρέπει να κάνω τις σκέψεις, εορτή του πεινασμένου και όαση του διψασμένου. Είπα πως Θα αρκούμουν να μετρήσω τα σκουριασμένα κάγκελα του γείτονα απέναντι. Έχει χρόνια να τα βάψει. Μόνο μην τα κάνει μαύρα. ή κόκκινα κι εκθέσει την απώλεια η τον έρωτα του σ εμένα τον γνώστη ε-αυτών. Μου αρκεί να τα στολίσει με λαμπάκια, για να δω πως κλαίει η χαρά του και πως γελά η λύπη μου...Μετά, μέτρησα τα φύλλα που έπεφταν από το φυτό δίπλα μου. Το συμπόνεσα που ΚΑΙ αυτό, μέσα σε γλάστρα ήταν. Αθώο τουλάχιστον, γιατί δεν αυτοποτίζεται με καμία αυτοικανοποίηση , παρά ελέη περιμένει. Μετά πέταξα και κάθισα πάνω σ ένα τσιμεντένιο γιαπί ψηλά και ταξίδεψα παράνομα, με το πανί του διπλανού θερινού σινεμά για ιστίο. Δεν είχε σηκώσει ψηλότερο τείχος για να εμποδίσει λαθρακροατές. Αλτρουισμός; Ένδεια; Οίκτος; Μήπως εγνωρίζα τον ιδιοκτήτη; Θα μπορούσα να τον ονομάσω Θεό, ή Τύχη. Μπορεί και Παγίδα για μια ατομική προβολή, που ανέδειξε την αυτο-προσβολή και αυτο-αποβολή, πρίν γίνει αυτοσεβασμού επιβολή.....Κι άκουσα πριν ξυπνήσω ένα, "να προσέχεις" από χείλη μακρινά, γελώντας για της τύψεως το άγαλμα, που προσκυνάται ως αυτοσυγχώρεση και ελπίδα, από λογικούς και αιθεροβάμονες...Παράξενο όνειρο είδα σήμερα. Συγχωρήστε με αν σας τρόμαξα, η αν δεν με κατανοήσατε. Θα μπορούσα να το ονομάσω "αυτόματη γραφή", ή "ξάφρισμα του ασυνείδητου". Υπόσχομαι να σας κάνω να γελάσετε την επόμενη φορά, γράφοντας για ελπίδα και όνειρα χειμερινής νυκτός. Μέχρι τότε, καλές ονειρώξεις......

Maher was born in Cairo, in 1956. He studied Clinical Psychology in Ain Shams University with postgraduate studies in Sweden. Being a citizen of the world and a restless mind, he travelled a lot around the world studying the Man. He moved to Greece in 1982 in order to study Ancient Greek Philosophy and he was enchanted by “Megas” N. Kazantzakis, as Maher calls him. So he stayed here and he literally devoted his life to the Man. He passionately studied the personalities, the religions of the world, the human behaviors, and the deep acquaintance of the self/individual and the negotiation with Death. In recent years he lives and works as a Clinical Psychologist in Thessaloniki. Tender and polite but non-negotiable in his principles, he decided to put life on the painter’s canvas from the Psychologist’s point of view. He claims that "The tragedy of falling boundaries around us, allows us to reorganize reality in a more accurate and reliable way ... by scouring the sorrows from foolish reality." He has held many personal art exhibitions in Thessaloniki and Athens as well as in the Egyptian Embassy. He has presented his work to the media several times as an artist and psychologist analyzing how human emotions appear on the artistic canvas in a dance full of passion between the fear of death and life. Lately he has been exhibiting together with his life partner Lena Boccasile who is also an artist.
