About The Artwork
The objective of this picture is to distort the normal space. We should be able to see through the blue object to the red object behind - but the perspective has changed, once we enter inside the blue space. I hope this picture invokes a chism in the mind of the viewer - almost a tangible shift in mind activity as the objects don't meet common observable norms. I chose watercolour for its luminosity.

I trained as a mathematician and spent many years teaching at university and writing source code for my own software business. But, painting is my passion. I've tried numerous mediums and mixed mediums and found I prefer the nuances of watercolour, most especially the luminosity from the white paper reflecting light back through the layered pigments. I also paint in oil and acrylic, which lends itself well to the more abstract images that i sometimes like to paint.
