ABOUT THE ARTWORK

Blue mountains and the sea under a pink evening sky with clouds painting on canvas. I created this painting with a view of the evening mountains and the sea especially for the restaurant "Meat and Wine", which is located on the coast of the city of Gelendzhik, Russia. If you get out of it and walk a few meters, you can see literally what I depicted, if you're lucky. It's not every day you see such an impressive sunset! :) The reference for this painting was my personal photo taken in 2015, on my first visit to this city. Then I fell in love with its heavenly expanse and evening landscapes. + I create a calming atmosphere for people. I strive to convey harmony and calmness to the audience. I relax the man by using smooth transitions, a small number of colors and objects. I use only high-quality materials. Paint, with proper storage of paintings, retains its saturation for up to 100 years. Acrylic on cotton canvas with a density of 380 g/m². The pine subframe exudes the scent of wood. Gallery wrapped canvas. The work is signed on both sides. Each of my paintings is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity.

Veronika Kryukova was born in 1994 in the Far East off the coast of the Sea of Japan, in Russia. Her grandmother instilled in her a love of painting and nature, and her father instilled in her. In 2008, she entered the Marx Children's Art School, where Veronika was accepted immediately into the second grade, and from the third she immediately moved to the fourth. So, in 2009, she received a diploma with honors in Fine Arts. Due to some events, she did not paint for several years, and in 2019 decided to make painting the main business of her life. Veronika creates abstract landscapes inspired by nature. She is attracted to secluded, quiet places where everyone can be alone with themselves. Her deep, muted works immerse the viewer and prompt reflections. The artist's works are an offer to relax, to escape from the noise. This is an offer to listen to yourself, get rid of the pretense, discover what's inside, be honest and live your own life. Veronika finds the understatement and incompleteness of the work funny and attractive. At the same time, she strives for a unified visual and tactile aesthetics, so she pays great attention to working with the texture of the material, creating matte, rough surfaces. She is attracted to the philosophy of wabi-sabi. And also, Veronika likes to create atmospheric videos with the painting process, you can see them on YouTube.
