Sun After Storm Painting

My work explores the relationship between emotinal statements and bright color combinations. With influences as diverse as Claude Monet and Claude Debussy, new tensions are synthesized from both mundane and transcendent discourse. Ever since I was a child I have been fascinated by the ephemeral nature of the universe. What starts out as triumph soon becomes manipulated into a hegemony of distress, leaving only a sense of failing and the possibility of a new beginning. As momentary forms become reconfigured through diligent and repetitive practice, the viewer is left with an epitaph for the edges of our era.
