Sunrise Over The Bay -3 Painting

I have been painting for approximately 45 years - from my early years growing up on the Monterey Peninsula and in Carmel Valley and through my college years at UC Santa Barbara until now. I obtained an MFA degree from UC Santa Barbara in 1969 after some active duty in the Coast Guard. I then taught art and design at San Jose City College and Evergreen Valley College until my move to Idaho in 1981. After that I then moved to Georgia and most recently to South Carolina with my wife Leslie. I am especially drawn to the land for inspiration. I have lived in California, Idaho, Oregon, Arizona, Georgia, South Carolina and Colorado. All of these places have settled into my collective memories - and serve as inspiration for my paintings. I have been featured in Best of America Water Media Artists and Best of America Acrylic Artists. I have had my work featured on book covers and several magazine covers.
