This seascape, is seen from Nai Wok beach, on the SW of the island, that the artist has called home, for 16 years. The breathtaking scene, whilst common on the paradise tropical island of Koh Phangan, never fails to move. The sunsets over a glass smooth sea. The brushstrokes are expressive as well as detailed. The impact of the natural scene, is expressed, with a heightened pallet. The painting is worked on in countless sessions, over months, building up layer, after thin layer, to achieve, what the artist wants to convey, whilst the artistic vitality is never lost. The sea has taken prominence in the artist's life, as he has also been a dive instructor, for years and is a keen diver.

I was born in London UK, but have spent the last 19yrs, living on the tropical island of Koh Phangan. My work, is colorful, like my life has been. My art has always been a celebration of life, from art school, to the present. They are about what I see, and feel. They are about the human condition, and a fascination, with a heroic struggle. They are about love, and they are about form. I have a strong link to western art, taking a circuitous, route, from early art, through classicism, modernism to contemporary art. I reference, and draw from these influences, but also I breathe in culture, in all it’s forms, and from my rich, eventful life. I wish to communicate through my work. I hope you understand.
