About The Artwork
This landscape is dominated by the close up texture of gum tree bark and a chain hanging from the tree. The chain literally held a punching bag up out doors from a tree at my family's farm but the image gave me a more symbolic meaning of how we take the environment for granted and really do use our natural world as both a support and punching bag. This painting was in the series created with "As The Healer Trace Release" and was perhaps the most intimate of the landscapes
