About The Artwork
The painting is inspired by the idea and effects of the subtropical gyres of Newfoundland and the coastal storms of Cornwall. When possible, I enjoy kayaking and this is part of that experience of being on the sea. A combination of exhilaration and fear. The works are reminiscent of Gerald Squires, Constable and thefrench Barbizon school.
