About The Artwork

Swans are incredibly beautiful and graceful birds, even a little mystical, many legends and fairy tales about them. At first, swans seemed to me an idealized, decorative, stylized bird from silly postcards. That was until I saw real wild swans in Estonia. This was in new year holidays frosty winter. They swayed on the waves in the boundless ice sea, wind mixed with the tiniest pieces of ice blowing with such force that it was hard not to lose balance on the frozen sand. When a flock of swams closer, they no seemed similar to their counterparts from the pictures, they were powerful huge birds more like giant pterodactyls than the usual swans. People fed them bread and it wasn't like birds are usually fed in parks. So feed the tigers or crocodiles, it seemed that if they did not bring enough bread, they would peck everyone on the way. The picture was first exhibited in the spring 2008 at my solo exhibition "Rain on the other side of the river" In the state exhibition hall "At Kashirka", at my solo exhibition in "Defensive systems", then in August in the Central House of Artists (CHA) at the exhibition of the same name, the next year during the new year holidays from 2009 to 2010 there at my solo exhibition "Happiness from the Sky". In 2011, "Swans" were exhibited at the XVI Moscow contemporary art fair Art-MANEGH in the my project "Wanderers and Collectors". In 2012, the picture was included in my art album "Painting. Graphics. Arts and crafts. Installation." In 2013, from 5 to 27 October, the picture was exhibited at my solo exhibition “Breeze" in the "House of flamenco Flamenco". In 2014, from 29 may to 22 June, the painting was exhibited at my solo exhibition in Central House of Artists.

I was born in Moscow on December 11, 1987. In every new piece of my art works there are more questions than answers; all of its are multilateral, it is exciting to look into them again and again finding hidden details, implicit accents, thinking of motives of the plot’s concept. In a series of paintings I decided to highlight still lifes paintings. Still life is always harmony. Because, in composing still life or bouquet, artist doing himself, as a rule, from the beginning to the end. Still life usually consists of items which are painter's property. As philologists have at home a library, sportsmen have sports equipment, and artists have a still-life fund. Usually, things get into it for a reason: they are specially bought, collected by acquaintances and passed from generation to generation in the family. All things in the painter's «Still-life Foundation» have a history. Along with the objects artist must also to depict the air. The viewer must be able to tell, without detective, it was hot in art workstudio or cold, what time of day, a fresh morning or a languorous evening. I never repeat my art-works and do not make copies. I speak Russian, English, Italian, French
