Sweetness is a feminine virtue, or that it appears to be, as it is courage without violence or strength without harshness. It is first a real peace or desired peace and what is more likely close to love, more than generosity or compassion. Generosity wants to do good to others; sweetness refuses to harm them. Compassion suffers from the suffering of others; sweetness refuses to produce or increase it. It is a kind of natural or spontaneous goodness and therefore almost synonymous with civilization. Sweetness is only such, owing nothing to fear, since non-violence taken to an extreme would prevent to fight effectively criminal and barbaric violence. Non-violence only serves its purpose if it is effective. Choice is not a matter of principle, but of circumstance, because there are just and necessary angers, just as there are justified wars and violence: sweetness decides and disposes. "Sweet man is the one who feels anger at things that provoke him and against the people who deserve it, and who is also angry in the way that suits him, at the right time and as long as necessary." Aristotle.

Portugal
It is in the painting that finds expression of the passions, emotions, freedom and time, through themes that fill and mark his life, from Music to Philosophy, manifested in canvas of color and light. It is the constant search for a language capable of sharing and externalizing ideas, which follow a flexible path, a world of experiences, that begin with the author and continue through the observer who interprets and unveils them.
