Pieces of architecture are incorporated into these works which remain rooted by the canvas as it acts as a keyhole into their world. The pieces are struggled over, coated again and again with industrial grade latex enamel, wax, latex, ink, and graphite to make the most interesting surfaces, urban architecture that has stood the test of time gets a chance to run away into a cartoon world where anything can happen and fun is all around. This series plays with movement while working with the sheer heaviness that is inherent with concrete, the two going together like peanut butter and jelly. Creating tensions between nature and architecture, with a sense of portended, but comical, ruin; like a ballerina with a cinder block for a foot. Every time you look at one of my works you will notice something; a small nuance or intricacy that you did not see before, it will brighten up your day and become an endless source of inspiration for your life.
