About The Artwork

"There are certain nights in LA where a taco truck will keep you company, whether you are a lawyer, a worker, an artist, a student, a maniac or simply you suffer from insomnia: taco trucks is the place where to be..." " ...After 15 years of living in London, I decided with my wife to move to Los Angeles. Why Los Angeles? Because cities like London, New York or LA embody the real dimension for multicultural discovery. Los Angeles give me the chance to experience the melting pot of different cultures but under different perspectives. That is fundamental for my art practice and also for my everyday life. The roots of LA are multiform. Its foundations are Latino, Asian and European, molding the core of this city with unique, fresh, exotic taste. If we also add the best weather on Earth, LA is absolutely the place where to be. Soon I got acquainted with lifestyle and food of this magnificent city. I love to experience Los Angeles everyday, spending at least one hour just walking the street, cycling or driving, also taking loads of pictures with my camera. Urban environment is my main source of inspiration. The Urban environment of LA has its own symbols, like food trucks Food trucks help feeding millions of people in LA only. They are the "interaction box" that helps to experience culture within the notion of food and the city. Every food truck represents a story of enterprise, culinary language, cultural journey. Food truck creates integration, letting people embrace and discovery new worlds of taste within the blocks of our city. Outside Mexico, Los Angeles makes the best taco on Earth. The title of my painting is "Taco Nights" because taco truck has been my company in the warm nights of LA. What amaze me is how food culture is able to gather people together in the common aim to discover and enjoy diversity. Restaurant business is also the main activity for millions of immigrants. Food stands for lifestyle and identity. Food tells us what we really are, helps us to understand ourselves onto today's society. Our modern society is like a rainbow made of journeys, roots, human experience, culture. That's why I love Los Angeles: every block of this city can tell me where I come from but also where I am heading. I believe food will always be the vector, the common language by which we can create relationship, dialogue, interaction between different people and cultures. I propose this painting of mine to your attention because Taco is an exquisite culinary experience imported by immigrants, Taco became integral part of contemporary Californian culture and cuisine. America's contemporary culture is founded on people coming from all over the world with the aim of to interact, fraternize, integrate and prosper within the whole American community, establishing an interchange of services and businesses that helps gather many different cultures under one vast playground called nation. Multiculturalism is what makes United States of America the greatest country on Earth". Acrylics, oil pastels, gel ink pens, acrylic markers, pencil, print on paper original monotype "My artworks are made using printing technique mixed with other media such as oil pastels, acrylics, water colors, liquid ink pens, pencils on paper, canvas, wood, fabrics. During my working process, I never make any difference between artworks regarding size, client, price or timetable. Each single work is made with the same intensity, dedication, effort, commitment, passion and love. Each work is made covering the surface, millimeter by millimeter, with no rush and lots of patience. I touch and retouch the surface many times with my pens and brushes, making sure the artwork has its right composition of colors, shapes and textures. I want that my works make always the difference in terms of quality, price and value for money. I want that my art collectors must be fully satisfied and 100% sure that there is no art deal better than the one they will have by purchasing my art. I will always challenge anyone to offer a better product for a better price than mine. Thanks a lot for your trust and respect" Fabio Coruzzi has exhibited in galleries, museums and art fairs all over the world. He is represented by galleries in USA, UK, Italy IF YOU LOVE TO HAVE ONE OF MY (already) SOLD ARTWORKS YOU CAN ASK FOR COMMISSION. PLEASE CONTACT SAATCHI ART TEAM TO CONTACT THE ARTIST EMAIL TO : fabiocoruzzi@hotmail.com THANK YOU! They always ask the artist to be detached. That's why I do photography, photocopy, carbon paper, wood and all the rest. That's my story, that's my own way to tell. Just let's try to tell stories ok? It's communicating. Artists do that for god's sake! why shouldn't I? Am I still an artist, I think people should tell about that...

THE INFORMAL GRAFFITI PROJECT "Informal Graffiti is a tiny drawing on the blank surface of my artistic universe. My graffiti is informal because does not follow the media, the format, the scale or the intention of traditional graffiti art. Informal graffiti is an attempt to use intellectual and material fragments of the hyper consumption culture (credit cards , aluminum cans, old pieces of wood, dirty old paper, etc) in order to decontextualize the traditional relationship between the viewer and the message. I look at Arte Povera philosophy as cultural inspiration , because it is the only art movement that challenged the establishment in terms of art, politics, economy, culture. Arte Povera’s ideas boost my sense of engagement to the surrounding world, where art practice becomes the main way to rebel, to disagree, to criticize, to reimagine, to reinvent. I reject the idea of using art to create social media phenomenons, because I personally make some art to survive and not to entertain" Fabio Coruzzi exhibited at galleries, museums and art fairs around the world. He is represented by American and European galleries
