Taptap is a public transport bus/trucks that are colorfully painted with religious and voodoo figures, also dubbed as "art on wheels" in Haiti. I remember when I first got here, my dad took to me to ride on one. We probably paid 5 Haitian Gourdes each, equivalent to 1 Haitian Dollar (a currency that doesn't exist). People were talking about us inside the taptap because we look different, of course. Like what's wrong with these foreigners? My dad butts in (in fluent Kreyol) and they all gasped in shock and amusement. Jajaja
