Originally from Nazareth there he was born, raised and finished his high school studies. at the year of 2003, right after finishing high school, Easam moved to Italy to follow his Physiotherapy studies at the Faculty of Medicine at Genoa University. After graduating from the Physiotherapy school His passion for art and dedication for painting was a big motive for him to apply and attend the Academy of Fine Arts in Genoa where he began his art studies at the year of 2010. His art academic research thesis was "Arabic Calligraphy, a Form of Contemporary Art", a trial to research a subject which is connected to his identity and roots as a Palestinian Arab. After ten years living in Italy, at the year of 2013, he settled down in his home town, Nazareth and started working in a studio. His works generally focus on human figures and portraits (figurative- expressionistic art), his portrait art works do not reflect the capturing of the external figure of a subjec, they create a portal to the inner journey of self-exploration as an attempt to experience a variety of new forms, figures and identities. The human facial expressions vary from moment to moment and cannot be captured in one form, Easam's paintings show the complexity and the variety of emotions surrounding the figure's identity as human feelings seeing them as directly affected by the surrounding environment which can be full of contradictions and thus affect many issues like identity and feelings of belonging. more he attempts to reflect the human condition, the more conflicts and paradoxes will appear in his work. Easam began his carrier with figurative self-portraits and portraits of familiar people, experimenting different materials mixing acrylic, oil, spray paints and pastels then he entered another “experimental” journey- trying to experiment and show another kind of portraits and expressions by using a variety of abstract and figurative elements, different figures, techniques and dimensions. He is inspired by artists like Ismail Shammout and Frank Auerbach who also dealed with the human figures by portraiture and expressionistic art.
