About The Artwork

This piece is intrinsically related to the concept of time and how it influences our existence. The background of the work is dominated by a vibrant golden color, which creates a feeling of warmth and enigma. This color represents the timeless dimension in which the visual narrative develops. At the center of the composition is a female figure wrapped in a majestic blue dress. Where the woman seems to be fragmenting in half, creating an intriguing sense of duality and transformation. The line that divides his body into two parts is not abrupt, but merges in a soft and subtle way. At the other end the figure of the woman is identical to the original, but with subtle changes. These changes evoke the idea of how time leaves its mark on our appearance and personality throughout our lives. The look of the woman in each half of the work transmits different emotions, from innocence and curiosity to wisdom and serenity. The use of blue tones in the woman’s dress creates a visual link with the sky and sea, eternal symbols of the flow of time. Dark shades of blue represent the oldest part of the figure, while lighter tones suggest the most recent part. As the viewer approaches the work, he can appreciate the subtle details and textures of the painting, which add depth and enrich the visual experience. The work invites us to reflect on the ephemeral nature of time and its influence on our lives. Through the fragmented female figure and the blue tones that symbolize the transformation, the viewer is led to contemplate the continuity of existence and how our personal experiences and changes are intertwined with the flow of time. This work transcends mere visual representation and becomes a window into the introspective exploration of our own temporal journey.

Zoe Lunar radiates and works in Mexico City, is a graduate of the national school of painting, sculpture and engraving "La Esmeralda". He is an artist in constant formation, who seeks plastic, visual and sound experimentation. His work feeds on time as matter and how it helps to interpret reality, through temporal representations, of spaces that converge in their social context and how this influences the formation and interpretation of our different contemporary realities; making use of the qualities of painting and drawing to make deformations in a perceptive portrait of different moments, and personal times in a single interpretation. He is currently nurturing his plastic work especially in painting and drawing, giving him new outlets like AR in some of his new works and occasionally making music and video.
