About The Artwork
Fethiye is a Turkish resort in the southwest of the country. A ridge of not high rocky Lycian mountains, covered with dense cedar and pine forests, slopes down into the valley to the famous Fethiye Bay. Fethiye is one of the best places to visit in Turkey's Mediterranean region. A submission from Singapore says the name Fethiye means "Fethiye is a Girl name, meaning Relating to fethe (to conquer or conquest) in Turkish origin" and is of Turkish origin. Fethiye itself is a prosperous but laid-back kind of place; just what you need to return to after a day's hectic sightseeing of mighty rock-cut tombs and mountain-top, UNESCO-protected ruins or sunbathing bliss, boating, and paragliding action. This work here is a single copy of my unique and original handwork. It is made on special, high-quality 100% cotton paper designed for watercolor from the world’s best manufacturers and has a density of 300 grams / meter. A full-time Ukrainian watercolor artist based in Braunschweig (Germany) since spring 2013. I was born and grew up in Poltava, Ukraine. I’ve dreamed to be a painter since my childhood and only after my 25th birthday I’ve started to paint. 6th November 2012 was the best day in my life – my first art class. Traveling and painting has been my big dream, which finally came true in 2013 when we moved from Poltava (Ukraine) to Braunschweig (Germany). I find inspiration in a beauty of nature, flowers and plants, in the beauty of the environment around – from ancient to modern architecture, cityscapes, minimalistic landscapes, and clouds, sunsets, endless sky. To know the materials better I have visited several factories of art materials producers - Hahnemühle (April 2018), Royal Talens (May 2018), Escoda (March 2019). Furthermore, I work and cooperate with world producers of art materials - Hahnemühle, Schmincke, Da Vinci, St. Cuthberts Mill, ShinHan, Royal Talens, Escoda, Rosa, Tombow. I am a member of German Watercolor Society since April 2018 and a member of International Watercolor Society in 2018/2019.
